Arts and crafts was a British artistic movement of the second half of the nineteenth century contrary to the Victorian style, which attempted to recover medieval arts and crafts by abusing mass production. In the arts and crafts they propose to do useful things, do them well and make them beautiful. They excelled in architecture and decorative arts. One of his main drivers was the architect Willian Morris advocate of traditional textile work in front of chain production.
