Diminutive of achira. Pepas, beads or seeds of the achurú. Achira is one of the common denominations of a plant also known as achera, achurú, bardana, papantla, reed, maraca, sago, capacho, biri, cucuyús, juquián, chisgua, risgua. Its scientific name is Canna indica or Canna coccinea and belongs to the family Cannaceae.
